3D board game with MR. MONOPOLY; dice rolled in the live studiosrc

MONOPOLY Live takes the familiar board game and turns it into a live money-wheel show. A presenter spins a large wheel in the studio; most spins end on a number and pay straightforward odds, while a few segments trigger a 3D bonus round where MR. MONOPOLY walks around the board collecting prizes.

It is one of the easier Evolution game shows to understand, which makes it a good starting point if Crazy Time feels like too much at once. Below we cover how the wheel is built, what each bet pays, how the bonus works, and Evolution’s related disco show, Funky Time.

How MONOPOLY Live works

Each round follows the same pattern:

  1. Place your bets on any of the wheel’s bet spots: 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS.
  2. The presenter spins the wheel.
  3. The result: a number pays out at its odds; CHANCE gives a random reward; 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS launches the bonus game.

Evolution publishes the wheel layout, which is more than it does for most of its shows. The wheel has 54 equal segments:

SegmentCount on wheelShare of wheel
Numbers (1, 2, 5, 10 combined)4848 of 54
CHANCE22 of 54
2 ROLLS33 of 54
4 ROLLS11 of 54

Because the segments are equal in size, each one has the same chance of being hit. So, as a simple calculation from those counts, the wheel lands on 2 ROLLS 3 times in 54 on average, and on 4 ROLLS only once in 54. Evolution’s page groups the 48 number segments together, so check the in-game Help screen for how many of each number there are.

Bets and payouts

Number bets

Evolution states that number bets pay odds matching the number: 5 pays 5:1 and 10 pays 10:1, and the same pattern applies to 1 and 2. The higher the number, the fewer segments it typically occupies, so bigger payouts come with lower hit rates.

A worked example: a ₹100 bet on 10 that wins returns ₹1,000 in winnings plus your ₹100 stake. A ₹100 bet on 1 that wins returns ₹100 plus your stake.

CHANCE

Landing on CHANCE awards either a random cash prize or a random multiplier for the next spin. If it is a multiplier, it boosts whatever the following spin pays, so it can make the next round much more interesting.

2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS: the bonus game

These segments start the 3D bonus game with MR. MONOPOLY. Two dice are rolled in the live studio, and MR. MONOPOLY moves around a virtual board collecting multipliers from the squares he lands on. According to Evolution:

  • You must bet on the spot that triggered the bonus (2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS) to win anything from it.
  • Rolling a double gives an extra roll, so a bonus can run longer than its name suggests.

4 ROLLS gives more moves around the board and so more chances to collect, but it covers just one segment of the wheel.

Putting the segment counts together: the two ROLLS spots cover 4 of the 54 segments between them, so a bonus round lands on roughly one spin in 13.5 on average. That is an average, not a schedule. Gaps of 30 or 40 spins between bonuses are entirely possible, and if your budget relies on the bonus arriving soon, it is too small for the bet size you have chosen.

RTP and limits

Evolution’s public page does not give an RTP, a maximum win or bet limits for MONOPOLY Live, so we don’t quote any. The in-game Help screen at your casino will show the RTP for each bet spot, and the table limits appear in the lobby. Our RTP and volatility guide explains what those numbers mean for a short session.

Strategy that actually helps

The wheel has no memory, the dice are random and the house edge applies to every spot. No pattern of bets changes that. Useful habits are about managing your money and expectations.

  • Know what each spot does to your bankroll. Numbers 1 and 2 hit often and pay little. The ROLLS spots hit rarely, so backing only them means many losing spins in a row.
  • Don’t chase the bonus. If 4 ROLLS hasn’t appeared for a long time, it is no more likely on the next spin. On a wheel with one 4 ROLLS segment in 54, long gaps are normal.
  • Fix your stake per round. Example: a ₹1,500 budget at ₹50 per round gives you around 30 rounds if nothing comes back; at ₹150 per round it is about 10.
  • Set a time limit. Game-show rounds are short, and it is easy to play far more of them than you planned.
  • Read bonus terms before using bonus funds. Live game shows often count for little or nothing towards wagering. See wagering requirements explained.

Variants you’ll find online: Funky Time and others

MONOPOLY Live is one of several Evolution money-wheel shows. The most closely related is Funky Time, a disco-themed show that Evolution announced on 24 May 2023.

A few details from Evolution on the bonus rounds:

  • Stayin’ Alive uses a ball machine with 90 coloured balls and a 20-level multiplier ladder up to 10,000x. Players start at 5x with four lives.
  • Disco plays out on a 37-square dance floor; VIP Disco uses a larger 63-square floor.

Evolution does not publish Funky Time’s RTP, bet limits or the payout for the number 1 segment on the pages we checked, so look those up in the game’s Help screen.

Other shows to compare

  • Crazy Time has four bonus games and a Top Slot multiplier; Evolution publishes a 96.08% RTP figure for it.
  • Lightning Roulette applies random multipliers to single-zero roulette, if you prefer a table game.

Playing on mobile

MONOPOLY Live runs in mobile browsers and in casino apps where available. The 3D bonus board is detailed, so a bigger screen and landscape mode help. Use a stable Wi-Fi or strong mobile data connection, because the betting window closes quickly and a dropped stream can mean a missed bet. Live video uses more data than slots; lower the video quality in settings if you are on a limited plan. Double-check your chip size before tapping, as small buttons make mis-bets easy.

Before you play

MONOPOLY Live is a fun, slow-building show, but it is still a game with a house edge. Decide your budget and time limit before you sit down, stick to a fixed stake, and stop when you reach either limit. Never increase bets to win back losses. Our responsible gambling page lists practical tools such as deposit limits and time-outs. Casinos that list Evolution among their providers are shown below.
