Wagering Requirements Explained: Worked ₹ Examples for 2026

How casino wagering works, with worked rupee examples for bonus-only and deposit+bonus terms, game contribution, max bet and expiry, plus reviewed casinos' figures.

Guide, published

Wagering requirements decide whether a bonus is useful or just a number on a banner. They tell you how much you must bet before bonus money, and anything won with it, can be withdrawn. This guide explains the mechanics with worked rupee examples, then lists the wagering figures that the casinos we review actually publish.

The examples below are generic illustrations, not the terms of any particular casino.

What wagering means

When you accept a deposit bonus, the casino adds bonus funds to your account. Those funds come with a condition: you must place a total value of bets, called turnover or playthrough, before you can cash out.

The requirement is written as a multiplier, such as 30x or 40x. The important question is 30x of what? There are two common bases.

Bonus-only wagering

The multiplier applies to the bonus amount alone.

Example: You deposit ₹1,000 and get a 100% match, so ₹1,000 of bonus. At 30x bonus, you need ₹1,000 × 30 = ₹30,000 of bets.

Deposit + bonus wagering

The multiplier applies to your deposit and the bonus combined. Terms often write this as “x(d+b)”.

Example: Same ₹1,000 deposit and ₹1,000 bonus. At 30x(d+b), you need (₹1,000 + ₹1,000) × 30 = ₹60,000 of bets.

Same multiplier, double the playthrough. This is why a lower number is not automatically a better deal.

Comparing different offers

Example offerDepositBonusWageringTotal bets needed
A: 100% match, 30x bonus₹1,000₹1,00030 × ₹1,000₹30,000
B: 100% match, 20x (d+b)₹1,000₹1,00020 × ₹2,000₹40,000
C: 100% match, 40x (d+b)₹1,000₹1,00040 × ₹2,000₹80,000
D: 50% match, 30x bonus₹2,000₹1,00030 × ₹1,000₹30,000

All four are illustrations. Offer B has the smallest multiplier but asks for more betting than Offer A.

Game contribution

Not every bet counts in full. Casinos set a contribution percentage per game type.

A common pattern is that slots count 100%, while table games and live dealer games count a smaller share or nothing. If blackjack counts 10%, a ₹100 hand only clears ₹10 of your requirement.

Example: You need ₹30,000 of wagering. Playing only slots at 100%, that is ₹30,000 of bets. Playing a game that counts 10%, you would need ₹3,00,000 of bets to clear the same requirement.

If you mainly play live games like Lightning Roulette or blackjack, check the contribution table before accepting a bonus. It may make more sense to play without one.

Maximum bet while wagering

Most bonuses cap how much you can bet per spin or round while the bonus is active. The cap exists to stop players clearing wagering with a few very large bets.

Breaking it, even once, can give the casino grounds to remove the bonus and winnings. If the max bet is €5 and your balance is in rupees, convert it before playing and leave a margin, because exchange rates move.

Expiry

Bonuses come with a clock. There may be one deadline to claim, another to use free spins, and a third to finish wagering.

Example: ₹30,000 of wagering over 7 days is about ₹4,300 of bets per day. Over 30 days it is about ₹1,000 per day. A short expiry can push you to play more than you planned, which is a good reason to skip an offer.

Other terms that change the value

  • Max cashout from a bonus. Some offers cap what you can withdraw, for example at a multiple of the bonus.
  • Winnings caps on free spins. Free-spin wins may be limited and may carry their own wagering.
  • One bonus at a time. Claiming a new offer can cancel the one in progress.
  • Excluded games. Certain slots or jackpot games may not count at all.

Wagering published by the casinos we review

The table below uses only the wagering figure recorded in our research data for each casino’s headline welcome offer. Where that figure is missing, we write “not published”. Do not treat our table as the final word: offers change, and several casinos show conflicting versions.

Patang30x bonus₹300 minimum; 2nd and 3rd deposit parts also 30x

Two entries need a caution. Winnerz is recorded at 20x deposit + bonus in one place and 25x in its T&C summary. Tsars’ headline is 25x bonus, but its first-deposit package line is 30x(d+b). In both cases, read the bonus terms in the cashier before you opt in.

Turning a published figure into rupees

Take Patang’s first-deposit offer of 50% up to ₹10,000 at 30x bonus. As an example, a ₹4,000 deposit gives a ₹2,000 bonus, so you would need ₹2,000 × 30 = ₹60,000 of bets. Reaching the full ₹10,000 bonus requires a ₹20,000 deposit and ₹3,00,000 of wagering.

That is the kind of calculation worth doing before you accept any offer. Our welcome bonus guide shows how to weigh it against the size of the match.

Should you accept a bonus at all?

A bonus suits you if the wagering is achievable on the games you actually enjoy, inside the expiry, without raising your stakes. It does not suit you if you plan to withdraw quickly, mainly play low-contribution games, or would need to deposit more than your budget to make it worthwhile.

Turning a bonus down is a perfectly sensible choice. Whatever you decide, set a deposit limit first, and see our responsible gambling page if play stops feeling like entertainment. For how we factor bonus clarity into our scores, read our methodology.

Frequently asked questions

What does 30x wagering mean?

It means you must place bets worth 30 times a set amount before bonus funds can be withdrawn. Whether that amount is the bonus alone or the deposit plus bonus makes a big difference, so check which one applies.

Is 30x bonus better than 20x deposit + bonus?

Not always. On a 100% match of ₹1,000, 30x bonus means ₹30,000 of bets, while 20x deposit + bonus means ₹40,000. Always convert the multiplier into a rupee figure before comparing.

Do all games count towards wagering?

Usually not equally. Slots commonly count 100%, while table and live games often count less or nothing. The exact percentages are in each casino's bonus terms.

What happens if I break the max bet rule?

Casinos commonly reserve the right to remove the bonus and any winnings made with it. Keep every bet under the stated limit while a bonus is active.
