Crazy Time is Evolution’s best-known live game show: a presenter, a large vertical money wheel, an extra slot reel on top and four bonus games that each run like a mini studio show. Evolution released it in July 2020, and the stream runs 24/7, so a round is always about to start whenever you log in.

It looks chaotic, but the betting is simple. This guide explains what each bet does, what Evolution publishes about returns, and how to keep a session under control. If you are new to live dealer games in general, our live casino guide for India covers the basics of streams, betting windows and dealers first.

How Crazy Time works

Each round has three stages.

  1. Betting time. You place chips on any of eight spots: the numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10, and the four bonus games, Cash Hunt, Pachinko, Coin Flip and Crazy Time.
  2. The Top Slot. Before the main wheel stops, a two-reel slot at the top of the wheel spins. According to Evolution, it generates one random multiplier for one random bet spot, which can be a number or a bonus game. If the wheel then lands on that spot, the multiplier applies.
  3. The wheel spin. The presenter spins the money wheel. If it stops on a number you backed, you are paid on that number. If it stops on a bonus segment, the bonus game starts.

One rule catches beginners out: only players who bet on a bonus spot can play and win in that bonus game. If the wheel lands on Pachinko and you had nothing on Pachinko, you watch it like everyone else and win nothing from it.

Evolution states there is a 1 in 6 chance of landing a bonus round on each spin. Put the other way, about five spins in six end on a number segment.

The four bonus games

Cash Hunt

A shooting gallery. A large screen shows 108 random multipliers hidden beneath symbols, and each player picks their own target. Because everyone chooses separately, two players in the same round can win very different amounts.

Pachinko

The presenter drops a puck down a pegged wall into a row of multipliers. If it lands on a “Double” slot, all the bottom multipliers double and the puck drops again, up to Evolution’s stated maximum of 10,000x.

Coin Flip

A coin with a blue side and a red side. Two multipliers are generated before the flip, one for each colour, and you win whichever multiplier lands face up. It is the quickest bonus round and usually the most modest.

Crazy Time

The headline bonus. Players move through a door into a giant virtual money wheel and choose one of three flappers, blue, green or yellow. The wheel spins and you win what your flapper points to. Evolution lists the maximum multiplier here as 20,000x.

Bets and payouts

Evolution’s public page does not list the number of segments on the wheel or the RTP of each bet spot, so we don’t print a segment table here. The in-game Help screen at your casino is the place to check those numbers.

What we can say, from Evolution’s own page and from how money-wheel games generally work:

Bet spotWhat it doesWhat to know
1, 2, 5, 10Pays on the number if the wheel lands thereLower numbers hit more often and pay less; in money-wheel games the number usually tells you the payout (e.g. 10 pays 10 to 1)
Cash HuntEnters you into the shooting galleryYou pick your own target
PachinkoEnters you into the puck dropDoubles can stack up to 10,000x
Coin FlipEnters you into the coin tossTwo multipliers, one per side
Crazy TimeEnters you into the big wheel bonusMax 20,000x per Evolution

RTP. Evolution publishes a single figure for Crazy Time: 96.08%. Because only one figure is given, it is most likely the best-returning bet rather than the average of all eight spots. Other spots may return less. If RTP matters to you, open the game’s Help menu before betting; our RTP and volatility explainer shows how to read those numbers.

Biggest win. Evolution cites a 25,000x win in Cash Hunt on 11 December 2022, worth €2,815,169. It is a real record, but it is the extreme tail of the game. Most sessions are a long run of small number hits and small losses.

Strategy that actually helps

There is no betting system that turns Crazy Time into a winning game. Each spin is independent, the wheel has no memory, and every bet carries a house edge. “The 10 is due” or “Crazy Time hasn’t hit for 200 spins” are not reasons to bet more.

What does help is controlling the parts you can control.

Decide your coverage in advance

Covering all eight spots means you win something on most spins, but you also lose most of your stake on most spins. Covering one or two bonus games means long dry spells with occasional larger hits. Neither is “better”; they produce different swings. Pick the one that suits your budget and stick to it for the session.

Size your bets to the number of rounds you want

A worked example: with a ₹2,000 session budget, spreading ₹100 across several spots each round gives you roughly 20 rounds if nothing comes back. Dropping to ₹40 a round gives you about 50. Because bonus rounds land only about once every six spins on average, very short sessions can easily see none at all.

Ignore the Top Slot when choosing spots

The Top Slot picks its spot at random each round. Chasing whichever spot has just been boosted does not change the odds of the wheel landing there.

Set a stop point both ways

Decide on a loss limit and a “walk away happy” point before the first spin. Game shows are fast and entertaining, which is exactly why time and money slip away quietly. Our responsible gambling page has practical tools for this.

Be careful with bonus money

Many casinos weight live game shows at a low percentage towards wagering, or exclude them entirely. Read the bonus terms before you play Crazy Time with bonus funds; wagering requirements explained walks through how that works.

Variants you’ll find online

Evolution runs Crazy Time as a 24/7 live stream, and casinos may show more than one table or lobby tile for it. Other Evolution game shows use similar ideas:

  • MONOPOLY Live has a number wheel plus a 3D board-game bonus with dice rolled in the studio.
  • Funky Time uses a 64-segment letter wheel and four disco-themed bonus games; we cover it inside the MONOPOLY Live guide.
  • Lightning Roulette brings random multipliers to a standard single-zero roulette table, if you want the multiplier excitement with simpler rules.

If you prefer fast games you control yourself, crash games like Aviator work very differently: you decide when to cash out instead of waiting for a wheel.

Playing on mobile

Crazy Time streams in mobile browsers and in casino apps where they exist. A few practical points:

  • Connection first. Betting windows are short. On a weak signal you may miss the window or see the result late. Wi-Fi or a strong 4G/5G signal makes a real difference.
  • Landscape view gives a larger wheel and a clearer bet panel on most phones.
  • Watch your data. Live video streams use noticeably more data than slots. Lower the stream quality in the game settings if your plan is limited.
  • Check your stake before confirming. Small chip buttons are easy to mis-tap. Use the “repeat” or “double” buttons only on purpose.

Before you play

Crazy Time is entertainment with a built-in cost, not a way to earn money. The 96.08% figure means that over a very large number of rounds the game pays back less than it takes in, and in a single session anything can happen in either direction.

Set a budget you are comfortable losing, decide how long you will play, and stop when you hit either limit. Never chase losses into a bigger bet. Crazy Time: common questions

What is the RTP of Crazy Time?

Evolution's Crazy Time page states an RTP of 96.08%. It publishes only that one figure, so the return on individual bet spots may differ. Check the Help screen inside the game at your casino for the full breakdown.

How often do bonus rounds come up in Crazy Time?

Evolution says there is a 1 in 6 chance of landing a bonus round on each spin. You only take part in a bonus game if you had a bet on that bonus spot when the wheel stopped.

What is the biggest multiplier in Crazy Time?

Evolution lists a maximum of 20,000x in the Crazy Time bonus game and 10,000x in Pachinko. The biggest win it cites is 25,000x in Cash Hunt on 11 December 2022, worth €2,815,169. Results like that are extremely rare and should never be treated as a target.

Is there a strategy that beats Crazy Time?

No. Every spin is independent and the house keeps an edge on every bet. What you can control is how much you stake, which spots you cover and when you stop, so set a session budget before you start.

Can I play Crazy Time on my phone?

Yes, the live stream runs in mobile browsers at casinos that carry Evolution games. A steady connection matters because betting windows are short.
